Together Forever

Reading and story time can be special time for both parents and children. If it is a relaxed time, it helps build good relationships between you and your child.
Together Forever takes place on a snowy night in the Arctic, with Little Bear playfully tumbling in the snow. Mother Bear warns him not to wander too far away, or he might get lost, and Little Bear worries about the possibility of not being able to find his mother.

Pointy the Pumpkin

Yesterday my family joined two other families and headed to Noggins Corner Farm Market in the Annapolis Valley. What a fun spot for everyone and only an hour’s drive from Halifax. We started off by heading to the pumpkin patch where my son picked out “pointy”…his name for his pumpkin. It indeed was a little more pointy than round but when you are 5, you are not looking for that perfect pumpkin. While running thru the patch, I somehow invited a wasp/honeybee/ other stingy insect to buzz around in my curly hair…after trying for a good couple of minutes to get it out, it ended up stinging me on my finger…OW! Never did see what it was but it sure stung for a while…(and no, I wasn’t allergic..been stung before..)…anyhow….
We paid for our pumpkins and headed to the Barnyard Adventure area….LOTS for the children to do. “where everyone can run, jump, climb and slide on the various play structures. Next, try negotiating your way through a number of different types of mazes. There are lots of picnic tables scattered throughout the site for your use and our Food Kiosk serving our famous hot buttered corn is open on the weekends and holidays.”..we spent the better part of two hours there and what a time.
It was dark by the time we got home and everyone was tired so I call that a successful Saturday! Today we are going to carve “pointy” into a scary pumpkin…I found a safe alternative to candles to light him up later on….its a little battery operated gadget that changes color so I am anxious myself to see how he looks…if I remember, I will post a picture.
Hope everyone is enjoying the Fall weather where ever you are. Here in Halifax it’s been fantastic..kind of makes up for the wet and cold July we had…kind of…

My son is 5 now but I can still remember the struggles I had trying to change his crib sheets…many days (and nights!) I thought I was in a circus doing acrobats trying to get the sheet off his crib…little did I know that there was an easier way!!

You place your crib mattress in the base sheet and the top sheet is zipped on…when you need to replace it, just zip off and leave the base sheet in place!!! It’s Been a While

It has been a while since I last posted anything so I figured I better get a move on!
If you haven’t already seen it, check out the new and improved website…it is fab! We have a Registry now..yah!….so it’s a perfect time to start all those wish lists you may have for Christmas…
..as well, you no longer have to go thru 3 pages for check out…it’s down to one!! One important thing to mention….as a security measure, we did NOT transfer over your saved passwords so when you log in, you will have to set up a new one but no worriees..it’s easy!!!
More news…we are now accepting Electronic Money Transfer (EMT) as a form of payment. Quite often I have customers that would like a few small items but don’t want to pay the flat rate shipping fee… understandable (Canada Post Expedited can be a bit pricey but the rates I charge are what I pay)…so with EMT, all you have to do is send me an email with a list of your item(s) and your mailing addie and I will do an estimate shipping rate and invoice you separately from the website…if it turns out that the shipping is more $$ than the flat rate, you will be charged the lesser amount…
Next month we are celebrating our 2nd Birthday..WOW how time flies..be sure to keep an eye out for specials…
